Fuel Your Incredible Machine

DREAMS COME TRUE

'You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us. And the world will live as one.' - John Lennon

We have set ourselves ambitious long-term goals paired with inspiring daily actions. Follow us on Facebook and Instagram. Spread the word. Get involved!

It all starts with the fuel you put into your incredible machine. A diesel car won't run on gasoline for very long, right? Countless studies show how wise food choices can make a big difference in how and what we think, how we feel, and how we interact with our environment. Thinking things through can be applied easily.

How was your food grown? How far does your food travel to get to your plate? Who prepared the food you eat? Do you care about these sort of things?

Whenever we slide our debit or credit cards at a checkout, we vote for and against something and someone. Food lobbies alongside lobbies from the pharmaceutical industry are powerful institutions with an enormous monetary force. How often have you been told that a product is good for you? Did you ever ask, why it's good for you? Did you consider looking deeper into it and question the given answers?

Remember, the fuel you put into your incredible machine powers your brain, co-creates your thoughts, and co-influences your sensitivity for empathy and compassion. It's like a ripple effect. What a better way to be the change you want to see in every condition of life? The following goals are just the beginning. The beginning of a movement.

Goal 1: A PEACEFUL DIET CREATES A PEACEFUL MIND

Every restaurant, school cafeteria, college cafeteria, and hospital on the island of Hawai'i offers at least one fully plant-based meal, listed on their menu, and clearly marked as vegan. This does not include existing non-plant-based menu items that, upon request, could be prepared vegan.

To achieve this goal, we would like to visit restaurants, take a look at their inventory, and create two plant-based and satisfying meals to choose from.

Goal 2: GOING WITH THE LOCAL FLOW

Every restaurant, school cafeteria, college cafeteria, and hospital on the island of Hawai’i replaces all imported fruits, vegetables, and spices which are also available on the island with locally grown equivalents.

To achieve this goal, we want to co-create a detailed connection plan between restaurants, supermarkets, and local food growers to guarantee an uninterrupted supply chain on the one hand, and share the beauty of the local flow through seasonal availability on the other hand.

Goal 3: IMPROVING QUALITY AND SUSTAINABILITY

All imported animal-derived products such as meat, dairy, and eggs are either replaced with locally sourced equivalents or an imported non-GMO organic plant-based alternative.

To achieve this goal, we are going to push for the elimination of all subsidies on imported meat, dairy, and eggs to support local farmers so they no longer rely on lobby-based federal programs.
